UGANDAN SONGBIRD POCKETS $3000 FOR ONE SONG SHOW

SONGBIRD Iryn Namubiru of the 'Birowoozo' fame last week smiled all the way to the bank after she was paid $3000 to perform just one song titled "Happy" at a corporate cocktail at the Sheraton Rwenzori Ball Room.

ANGELIQUE AND IRYN COLLABO

The latest from France is that local diva Iryn Namubiru is set to work on a few music projects with Beninese world music star, Angelique Kidjo. Iryn has just concluded a month-long tour of Europe where she performed in Sweden, France and Denmark.  Iryn apparently met Kidjo during her tour. The two hit off right away and agreed to collaborate on one or two songs. The projects will apparently be worked on in France where both Iryn and Kidjo are regulars.

Fresh details have emerged as to why Ugandan pop diva Iryn Namubiru broke up with her muzungu hubby. A close source reveals that the pair broke up after her French hubby Frank Morel nabbed her 'at it' with their house attendant at their home in France.(true or false am not really sure). They broke up almost a year ago and have been fighting for their children's custody. Currently it is the hubby who has custody of the kids back in Paris, France. A close family source told us that Iryn has been trying hard to get back with the fella but it seems he is not interested anymore. Recently, we saw pictures of Iryn busy snogging VP Gilbert Bukenya,if they broke up and she moved on with some else then l guess thats good for her.

However,Irene spoke to us and refuted the allegations. 'I'm not expectant at all. I'm not  even planning for baby no.2,'she said on phone. The singer is in Uganda to promote her latest single.
