JOYOUS CELEBRATION CHOIR TO LAUNCH 16TH ALBUM

OK..To God be the glory. This is my favorite gospel choir and God knows it. Well, South African holy spirit inspired gospel choir JOYOUS CELEBRATION is set to launch their 16th album. The 16th album, which was recorded at Carnival City in Johannesburg, will be released to commemorate a national tour from 05 April to 11 August 2012.. The Joyous 16 album (CD and DVD) is titled ‘Royal Priesthood’ which means ‘the chosen race, a holy nation and God’s very own possession.’
They have also announced that they will be having auditions for those who want to become members of MTN Joyous Celebration will be held again this year.  This year’s auditions will include mini workshops on the music industry that have been designed to educate candidates who take part in the audition process. These mini workshops will also provide tangible pointers for the auditions, dates will be announced later on.

Date: 05 to 08 April.
Tickets: R200 to R300 via Computicket and bookings are open.
Time: 19:30, with additional matinees on the Saturday and Sunday, starting at 14:00 PM.
At the core of this choral outfit’s outstanding success is the charismatic leadership of Mthunzi Namba, Jabu Hlongwane and the maestro, Lindelani Mkhize. As the group’s co-founders they have provided their charges with the technical expertise and artistic experience to reach greater heights in this tough music industry.

JAMAICAN STAR TO ROCK NAIROBI

Its already happening in 2012. And the year looks bright for show business in all fronts. Jamaican star Tarrus Riley will be performing in Kenya later this year. Well,this is according to Harambe star’s striker Dennis Oliech, Tarus could be performing in February. Oliech posted the same on his Facebook page early January. The singer famous for songs like She's Royal, Armageddon and Getty Getty has consistently racked up awards for his work. Among his accolades are Best Singer, Male Vocalist, Cultural Artiste, Song of the Year, and Best Song.

PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE TO RAISE FAMINE MONEY FOR KENYA

Support UNICEF - East Africa Crisis WILLS and Kate are set to make a personal plea to help the 13million victims of the famine in Kenya and Somalia.In the royal couple's first joint humanitarian mission, they will visit UNICEF's supply distribution centre in Copenhagen next week.And they will use their global fame to highlight the desperate plight of more than 320,000 children who are at risk of death after East Africa's worst drought for 60 years.The region is dear to their hearts as Kenya is where the couple, both 29, got engaged.A Clarence House source said they had been deeply moved by the tragedy and want to "do their bit". Britain has donated £128million to the cause since July but more is needed. Unicef UK chief David Bull said: "I am thrilled the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are committed to helping."
