East African Breweries, through their flagship brand Tusker is set for another reality TV music show and a mega concert dubbed “Tusker All Stars.’
The "Tusker All Stars" TV show will reunite viewers with eight former Tusker Project Fame contestants competing for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share a stage with music greats Usher Raymond and Keri Hilson at the “Tusker All Stars Concert” scheduled for the Carnivore Grounds on 20th August 2011.
“The Tusker All Stars will represent a return to their African roots for the two international artists. It also marks a breaking of the glass ceiling for East Africa’s entertainment scene as our very own share a stage with some of the biggest names in global entertainment,” said EABL Group Marketing Director Debra Mallowah. “This for Tusker represents a continuous commitment towards supporting talent and live music.”
The selection of the past stars was based on popularity and career progression and they include Tusker Project Fame Season 3 winner Alpha Rwirangira from Rwanda, Kenya’s Bernard ‘Ngangalito’ Nganga and Patricia Kihoro.
Season 2’s drama king Hemedy Suleiman, his fellow country man Peter Msechu and Tusker Project Fame season 4 winner Davis Ntare also made the cut. Season 4’s Amileena Mwenesi and season 3’s Caroline Nabulime have also been selected. The show is set to debut on 26th June while the grand finale will be staged on 14th August.
Running for eight weeks, the "Tusker All Stars" show will showcase the stars at their very best, performing as individuals and as groups. Their challenge is to entertain East Africa with riveting music acts each week while showcasing their star quality and versatility.
