IS HEMEDI DATING A KENYAN LADY?

Former Tusker Project Fame contestant Suleiman Hemedy now known to his fans as moniker PHD, has a new love song. Hemedy released his latest music video ‘Mombasa Queen’ after spending most o

f last year acting. The musician turned actor is said to be in a secret affair with a lady from the Kenyan island. Our sharp eyed snoop are already on the look out who the girl would be. Mombasa queen is a love song dedicated to a “Mombasa queen whom he longs for”. Hemedy showcases his vocal growth in the new single. Something Judge Ian Mbugua would be proud of. And if Judge Ian disagrees, Hemedy already told him what he thinks of his critic. “Ian first of all you are not hot like me and secondly you don’t have a movie or a single to your name,” he said during the Tusker All Star taping last year. Hemedi halted his movie career to concentrate on his music this year.

NONINI STARS IN A MOVIE

Nonz

Nonini has added another feather to his cap - acting. He is set to appear in a new movie, "Killer Mmoja" a 2011 African Genge drama film, directed by Willie Owusu and Produced by Hubert Nakitare and Aleks Kamau. The movie stars Nonini (The Godfather), Lady Bee (The Queen), Chege Chigunda (TMK Wanaume), Introducing Hanako, Jaymz Kiama, Mustapha, Sandra, Stephanie and Danny. A movie about Genge and how it gets 3 musicians in trouble with a very wealthy family because of there daughters association to the style of music and the Artists. "Coming from a hood back ground genge and the musicians dont sit well with an upper class family! Dropping IN 2011..." read a statement sent to us by the rapper.
From what we can see, this will be one brilliant movie, at least production wise since we can't judge on the script until we watch the film. We love the strides Nonini is making in his career.
The movie's soundtrack will be released soon!
