DR. OYEDEPO INVESTS IN EDUCATION

Good news or say Good things tend to follow Winners Chapel General Overseer Dr. David Oyedepo. After winning the lawsuit against the witch over a month, the General Overseer is at it again-doing great things. The Winners Chapel General Overseer, who takes education very seriously, is building a mega secondary school facility located at Gowon Estate in the Alimosho local government area of Lagos State. The new building, which is almsot complete, is said to have over 100 classrooms. The Bishop has already established the Kingdom Heritage Model Schools in different cities in Nigeria and in Kenya for primary education, Faith Academy; a missionary full boarding secondary school, and Covenant University. Talk about Kingdom investment....

D'BANJ TO LAUNCH OWN RECORD LABEL

G.O.O.D music Nigerian signing and Mr. Oliver twist D'banj is into things. The millionaire Naija act is set to unveil his own record label named DKM. DKM stands for D'Koko Master Records and Kayswitch is the only artiste signed to the record label for now. Several more artistes are lined up and will be unveiled in the coming months. D'Koko Master Records will be officially launched in Lagos at a concert that will feature D'banj, Kayswitch and other DKM artists.

GRAMMY AWARD STAR 'S SURPRISE VISIT TO P-SQUARE

The bond between Senegalese superstar Akon and popular Naija twin brothers P-SQUARE seems to be getting very strong. The trio who have a single out together are becoming bossom friends. Wel,, Akon who signed the twin brothers to his Konvict Music label was in Naija last weekend to see P-SQUARE at their mansion dubbed Square Ville Omole Estate, home, in Lagos.And they had fun together before the star flew back to the US.

WHITNEY HOUSTON'S EX TO PERFORM IN NIGERIA

Grammy award winning American musician Robert Barisford Brown (Bobby Brown) is coming to Nigeria for the first time ever. And he’s making the trip with his pop group New Edition! The R&B Singer, song writer and dancer confirmed his appearance for the high budget concert organized by R28 events in an audio statement released on Monday from his base in America. The concert is scheduled for Friday March 9 in Lagos and Sunday March 11, in Port Harcourt.

In the audio message, Bobby Brown confirms he’d be in Nigeria in March “We’ll be rocking the stage live in Nigeria live on March 9 and 11. Don’t you dare miss it.” This is the first time New Edition will be performing in Nigeria, a city where they have millions of fans and followers. According to their management, the former group members will travel to Nigeria with a crew of 50 band members and associates.
And as fans, the music industry and R&B lovers gear up for the event that has been tagged “The show of the year”, the organizers have confirmed that 2face, Banky W, Duncan Mighty are getting set to perform alongside the visiting group.

Other co-headliners include Omawumi, eLDee, Burna Boy and Modenine. Bobby has been touring the world with his group New Edition since last year. Although he cancelled a performance in honor of Whitney Houston two weeks back, the event producers say “Bobby Brown considers performing as therapy to get him through a difficult time. He wrote to us last week that he’d like to do this concert in memory of Whitney, and we said fine”.
The Lagos and Port Harcourt concerts will be dedicated to Bobby’s ex-wife Whitney Houston who passed on February 11. 2012. Brown was openly emotional at a show in Mississippi on Saturday February 11, 2012following news of Houston's death, then pulled out of a New Edition performance in Nashville on Sunday February 12, 2012 and flew to Los Angeles to be with his daughter.

New Edition is made up of Ronnie Devoe, Ricky Bell, Mike Bevins, Ralph Tresvant and Bobby Brown. The group's hits include "Candy Girl","Cool It Now", and "Mr. Telephone Man”produced by R28 events, the concert will hold at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Friday, March 9, 2012 and at the Polo Club, Port Harcourt on Sunday March 11, 2012.
