PRESIDENT'S SON WANTED BY POLICE

Philip Moi's estranged wife yesterday urged police to arrest him and bring their dispute to an end. Moi is the son of former president Daniel arap Moi. He has been involved in a bitter court dispute after refusing to pay Pluda Sh250,000 per month maintenance. He says he cannot afford to pay and was briefly declared bankrupt last month.Rossana Pluda arrived at the Muthaiga police station shortly before 3 pm accompanied by process server Willy Mwendwa. She said that the police should act on the warrant of arrest issued by Justice GBM Kariuki on Tuesday. Pluda informed the OCS that Philip had been in his house in the morning but left in a Range Rover. He returned to his Muthaiga residence for lunch in a Volkswagen Passat but left again in the afternoon. "The judiciary has done very well and I hope the police do the same to prove that there are reforms going on," said Pluda who was dressed in jungle green trousers and a brown sweater. "The warrant has been received and signed. I have agreed to do it but please call me if he is seen in Muthaiga. I don't have a vehicle now but will go there when the vehicle is available," Muthaiga OCS Johnstone.K Wanyama told Pluda."I didn't want this to go this way but I have been tossed from one court to another. I didn't want to get to the point of getting a warrant of arrest against my ex-husband. This is for all women in Kenya going through divorce. It is not a personal war," Pluda said. "I am disappointed by women politicians who have not said anything yet it is a problem affecting most women in the country," Pluda said.

In March Philip escaped arrest after police refused to accept the court's arrest warrant. Justice GBM Kariuki had ordered that Philip be arrested and held in the civil jail at Industrial Area Prison for one month unless he pays all maintenance dues to his estranged wife, Rossana Pluda Moi. Last October, Philip was ordered to pay Sh250,000 a month for Rossana's upkeep and maintenance for the couple's two children but he has argued that he cannot afford it. Philip now owes Rossana more than Sh2 million. The court orders issued last Thursday said the warrant should be executed by the officer in charge of the police station nearest to Philip's residence. He lives in Muthaiga.

RUSSEL SIMMONS DENIES DJIMON-KIMORA BREAK UP CLAIM

On Tuesday, the NY Daily News printed a story claiming actor Djimon Hounsou and Kimora Lee Simmons had split over money. According to the paper, the couple called it quits after a big blowout over money that allegedly occurred

because Kimora’s ex-husband, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, decided to “stop funding the pair’s lifestyle.” Although Kimora has kept mum on the gossip, Russell has denied the talk on his blog, GlobalGrind, saying:

1. Kimora and Djimon are fine.
2. Kimora and Djimon are both doing extremely well in their respective endeavors and businesses and don’t need to fight over or waste energy on money issues.
3. I damn sure don’t pay nor have I ever paid alimony (Kimora does just fine). In no way do I support their lifestyle, so please don’t say they are fighting over MY money.
4. Yes she’s selling a house, but she hasn’t lived in it for several years since she built the house they currently reside in.
5. As for friction between us? There is none. I feel like I’m part of their family. Djimon and Kenzo are like my blood and Kimora is my best friend. We are partners in various businesses and in the really important business of raising our beautiful children.

NOLLY WOOD STAR CANCELS WEDDING

You've heard it that Nollywood star actress Stephanie Okereke is getting married to Linus Idahosa in Paris in February. But the actress has come out and denied the story published by several Naija media.  In a recent interview with YNaija, the actress said the report is not true. 'Another media story! I’m not getting married in February. Very untrue, please tell them. Stephanie said. On her recent annulment, she said..''I sought for annulment and I got it. I never sought for divorce. It was an annulment. He was married to someone abroad so with that evidence I was able to seek for annulment. The court cannot grant annulment unless I had proof.
